    Holograms, we hardly knew ye!

Digital Domain, the creator of the infamous Tupac Shakur hologram that made a splash at Coachella back in April, has filed for bankruptcy. James Cameron, director of Titanic and Avatar, was one of the company's founders.

Digital Domain suspending trading shares and asked for bankruptcy protection.

The company accrued debts of around $214 million and even won an Oscar during its run (for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button). But it could not shift debts to become profitable and must file for bankruptcy.

What did you think of holograms at concerts?
