Neil Hannon, the songwriter and front man for The Divine Comedy, has stepped into the recording studio to begin work on a new album, the band's follow-up to 2006's acclaimed and underrated Victory for the Comic Muse.

Newest band member and collaborator Thomas Walsh posted on his website, "We've just done 11 days straight recording (or tracking as it's also known, not by me though!!) for the new album currently with the working title of 11 Modern Antiquities!! I think that title may stick (feel free to tell me it's crap or tell me it's lover-ley)." And although details are still iffy, "Take Me Away," "Cluster Bomb," and "Your Friend" are just some of the songs that may appear on the new record. No release date has been set yet.
