DJ Destructo Discusses HARD, Electronic Music, and More

DJ Destructo has always been at least three steps ahead of the game.
Back on New Year's Eve 2007, he launched the first HARD Festival in Los Angeles, and it was smash success. Since the festival's genesis, electronic music has virtually taken over in America. The IDENTITY Festival is hitting the road this summer, Deadmau5 is almost as famous as Mickey Mouse, and David Guetta produces nearly every pop hit you hear on the radio. However, Destructo had a vision for this before electronic music slid up from the underground and took over the mainstream formally in the past couple years. Also, Destructo is still the best at it…
Today, you can catch him spinning at the Los Angeles HARD Summer Festival featuring Duck Sauce, Boys Noize, Chromeo, Skrillex, Odd Future, and countless more. See the full lineup here. In addition, he's rolling across the country on the HARD Summer Tour with Digitalism, Jack Beats, and more. If you miss out on the Summer Festival today, you've got a chance to catch Destructo and HARD again on HARD Haunted Mansion downtown at The Shrine Expo Center October 28-29.
We sat down with Destructo for an exclusive video interview about building HARD, touring, the state of electronic music, some of his favorite artists, his original music, and so much more. Watch it now and get your ass to HARD…
He's a visionary in the truest sense of the word and one of the reasons this genre is so all-encompassing…
