DMX Back in Jail

Rapper DMX returned to jail, turning himself into the Los Angeles County authorities on Monday, July 26. He is now serving a 90-day sentence from a 2002 reckless driving charge. He was arrested for DUI, but copped a plea deal for the lesser charge of driving recklessly. The rapper had to postpone this sentence because he was in an Arizona jail, serving time on an unrelated charge. Beyond this being newsworthy, it causes me to wonder: Why can't big-name, big-money rappers, actors and rockers stay out of the slammer? When you have all the amenities that money can buy; hot women throwing themselves at you; the public's adoration; and your talent and creativity being celebrated, why can't rock stars and rappers straighten up and fly right? Why are repeat offenses committed? Why does Jani Lane have DUIs for hitting two parked cars? Is the availability of substances so over-the-top because one is famous? Is the fact that you don't have a normal, 9-to-5 lifestyle the cause or the effect?
I know I just posed a lot of questions, none of which can be answered easily. So why not argue about what you think here or on your preferred social networking site?
