Don Cheadle's Crescendo Signs First-Look Deal

Crescendo Films, the production banner headed by actor Don Cheadle and his producing partners Lenore Zerman and Kay Liberman, has signed a two-year first-look deal with Overture Films.

Cheadle has worked with Overture on two films in the past, including last summer's Traitor and his Oscar-nominated turn in the 2004 drama Hotel Rwanda. Crescendo is currently developing some key projects, including the documentary Darfur Now in addition to a biopic about jazz legend Miles Davis. It's not been determined if Cheadle will star in any of the films he develops.
