Representatives for Dr. Phil McGraw have confirmed his visit to Cedars-Sinai on Saturday—a trip sparked by the family of Britney Spears, who was about to leave the Los Angeles hospital when McGraw arrived. According to a TMZ report, Spears was cold to the TV star, exiting her room when he showed up and saying little when she returned.
"My meeting with Britney and some of her family members this morning in her room at Cedars leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention," McGraw said in an ETonline statement on Saturday. "She was released moments before my arrival and was packing when I entered the room. We visited for about an hour before I walked with her to her car. I am very concerned for her."
Spears was admitted to Cedars-Sinai against her will early Friday morning after a dispute over custody of her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. Her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, gained sole legal and physical custody of the children in lieu of her behavior. The temporary measure is to be debated at a family court hearing next Monday, January 14.
