DragonForce Cancel Tuesday's Los Angeles Show

Poor Dragonforce. The band was set to debut its brand new singer Marc Hudson last night in our fair city, but the show was cancelled, due to circumstances beyond their control! I was on the guest list and was going to go, so I was super bummed when this news crossed my desk.
Here's what happened: The band canceled their sold-out show at Los Angeles' Troubadour on Tuesday, Oct. 18 due to circumstances way beyond its control. The show would have been the live debut of Marc Hudson who replaced ZP Theart. However, upon his arrival in LA on Saturday evening, Hudson fell ill, contracting a virus which prevented him from performing. Hudson made the valiant effort to try and salvage the show, consulting with a doctor last night for the final time. He was told that there was no way he could possibly perform in his condition! Ugh! Poor Hudson. To fly halfway across the world to perform for the first time only to have it canceled at last minute? I feel his pain! His coming out party was canned.
The band's statement said that it was "incredibly frustrated to come all this way, only to be tripped up at the last minute. DragonForce extend apologies to all the LA fans they were looking forward to playing for, but the situation is completely and entirely out of their control."
The band's Toronto and New York City performances slated for later this week should go on as planned.
We will keep you posted.
