Drake has revealed details about his forthcoming video project, "Please Forgive Me". The short film will be released on September 30th and be directed by Drake and Anthony Mandler. It will also feature a score from Noah "40" Shebib.
Complex reported, "In two posts on Instagram Sunday night, Drake revealed that he has a video project in the works. Titled Please Forgive Me, the project will feature music from VIEWS."
So far, only "Hotline Bling" has a video from VIEWS, which dropped back in April. It was rumored that Drake was shooting a video for "One Dance" in South Africa, and another for "Child's Play" in Houston, so there is a possibility that these might be part of the the short film.
Views has been far and away the most commercially successful album of 2016. It has over one billion streams in the United States and has sold over one million copies. With VIEWS, Drake joined Adele, Michael Bublé and Taylor Swift as the only artists since 2010 to have an album remain at number one on the Billboard 200 for six straight weeks.
More recently, it has been suggested that Drake is working on a collaborative album with Kanye West. Over this weekend, a billboard turned up in Los Angeles saying, "Calabasas is the new Abu Dhabi". Kanye seemingly confirmed the rumors at OVO Fest in Toronto, telling the crowd, "Toronto, I got one question for you ... Is you all ready for this album?" Then revealing, "I'm not talking about Pablo. I'm not talking about Views. I want to ask y'all, y'all ready for this album?"
