CartElan Atias Named Macy's Rising Star + Needs Your Votes

Singer-songwriter Elan Atias, who blends pop, soul and reggae into beautifully crafted, upbeat audible treats, is a Macy's iHeart Radio Rising Star, and will headline the Earth Day Fair in Los Angeles at L.A. LIVE. The show takes place April 22.
Elan will perform two 45-minute sets, one at 2:30 PM and the other at 4:45 PM to help raise environmental awareness.
On Earth Day, Sunday, April 22, Elan will thrill thousands of Los Angelinos downtown at Nokia Plaza L.A. LIVE with a set aimed at bringing people together through the power of music. Elan explains, "I hope to spread the message of One Love and help people cut through the daily clutter that prevents us all from relating to each other and giving unconditional love."
Elan is known for his signature voice reminiscent of the legendary Bob Marley and for his happy roots, pop music with a reggae twist.
But he still needs your help. Macy's and iHeart Radio have joined forces to highlight 25 of the hottest emerging artists of today as part of Macy's iHeart Radio Rising Star campaign, and have selected Elan as one of the esteemed group of talent. Fans are encouraged to vote for Elan here in hopes of sending him to perform alongside the biggest names in music at the iHeart Radio Music Festival 2 in Las Vegas Sept. 21 and 22.
The voting period to select the Top 5 finalists is open now through April 22. Elan says, "I am happy and very honored to be included in this great campaign!"
Plucked out of obscurity at 19 years old to fill the hallowed shoes of beloved genius Bob Marley, reggae's "young lion" Elan Atias, was the frontman for legendary band The Wailers for nearly a decade. In addition to The Wailers, Elan has collaborated with Carlos Santana, Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams, Kenny Chesney, Matisyahu, the Dave Matthews Band and more.
