Ellen Barkin, Famke Janssen are Chameleons
Ellen Barkin and Famke Janssen will partner up for The Chameleon, a psychological thriller that will be helmed by French director Jean Paul Salome.French-Canadian actor Marc-Andre Grondin will make his English language film debut with the project. Salome co-wrote the script, which was based on a real story about a man named Frederic Bourdin, who assumed 39 identities in his lifetime. A story about his life and times was featured in The New Yorker.
The film's plot involves Grondin's character, who reunites with his family, including his mother, played by Barkin, after being identified through a missing persons case. After the reunion, it's doubtful that Grondin's character is actually the long lost son he claims to be. Janssen will play an FBI agent. Nick Stahl has also been cast in the film.
