The collaboration album between singer/songwriter Elvis Costello and The Roots may land in time for Record Store Day, which takes place on April 20.

The Roots actually jammed with Costello in the band's dressing room studio at Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, where they are the house band. The Roots said, "After Elvis Costello's third appearance, we liked him so much we were like, 'Hey why don't we make a record?' What went from being one song to be released on Record Store Day became 'Why don't we try four songs?' Now we have a brilliant album."

The album is nearly finished. Then The Roots will begin working with Al Green on his next album. Drummer Questlove also plans to partner up with comedian Amy Schumer on a special and he's teaching a course at NYU called "Classic Albums" while working on D'Angelo's decade-delayed new album.
