The 75th anniversary of Elvis Presley's birth will be celebrated with the release of the Golden Globe-winning documentary Elvis on Tour, which has been newly restored and remastered in both Blu-ray and DVD versions. The release will hit shelves on August 3, even though the King came into this world in January 1935. He died in August 1977 and an unfillable hole was left in the musical world.
The film follows Presley on a 15-city tour across the United States in 1972 and gives a one-of-a-kind live performance experience. It will be screened in select theaters with a special introduction by Elvis' only wife, Priscilla Presley, as well as never-before-seen footage of Elvis. The Elvis 75th Anniversary DVD Collection, a box set containing 17 of his films, including Elvis on Tour, will also be released simultaneously.
What is your favorite Elvis song? I love "Don't Be Cruel," "Jailhouse Rock" and "Burning Love" the most!
