The original crypt in which Elvis Presley was buried in has been withdrawn from auction after protests from fans, reports NME.com. It was a little creepy, no?

The private crypt in Forest Hill Cemetery in Memphis, which held the King's body for two months before he was finally laid to rest on his Graceland estate, was set to be auctioned this past weekend, but it was stopped at last minute when fans complained. Rightfully so.

Elvis' mother Gladys was also interred in the crypt before being buried alongside her son at Graceland after Elvis's father received permission from the State of Tennessee to bury them both on the private land. The crypt has been empty since mother and son were both finally laid to rest. It really needs to remain with the Presley family, since it stored their remains.

What's your take on this whole crypt issue?
