British actress Emily Blunt is up for the femme fatale role in Iron Man 2. The actress would step into the high heels of Natasha Romanoff, a Soviet spy whose alter ego is The Black Widow. The Black Widow is known for sporting a tight black costume outfitted with high-tech weapons.

Marvel would not comment on the rumors that Blunt is the frontrunner for the villainess role. Blunt will be seen in next fall's high profile remake, The Wolfman, which is due in theaters in November. Blunt garnered critical acclaim for her role as the sassy co-assistant in The Devil Wears Prada.
