    Eminem, the biggest selling artist of the 2000s, has kicked off a new decade with another extraordinary achievement as iTunes announced Recoveryas the best-selling album of the year in its Rewind 2010 roundup.

    iTunes Rewind 2010, now live on iTunes, reveals the year's biggest-selling music, movies, TV, apps and more. Recovery is Eminem's sixth consecutive #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, debuting at the top spot and racking up seven weeks at #1. Recovery has sold more than 5,600,000 copies worldwide. The album also debuted at #1 on both the Rap and R&B/Hip-hop charts. In addition, Recovery nabbed the #1 slot around the globe, from Australia and Austria to Greece, Canada and the U.K.

    It's official: Recovery was and remains a hit!
