As a part of EMP's commemoration of Monterey Pop Festival's 45th anniversary, guitarist and Guitar World Magazine Senior Editor Andy Aledort will be performing Jimi Hendrix's career-making 1967 set in its entirety, backed by Seattle musicians Mike Musberger (drums) and Andy Stoller (bass). A three-day concert held in 1967 on the Monterey County Fairgrounds, the event is largely remembered as the first major American appearance by Jimi Hendrix, and is generally regarded as launching “the summer of love.”

A world-class guitar player and significant figure in the international music scene for twenty years, Andy Aledort has been called upon as a session player to recreate the Band of Gypsies-era playing with bassist Billy Cox and drummer Buddy Miles. In addition, Aledort has recreated the guitar work of virtuosos in the field of music, including Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, Albert King, Freddie King, and Johnny Winter, and participated in a series of Jimi Hendrix tribute concerts, including Hendrix's 60th birthday bash celebration at EMP in 2002.
