It's official: Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria Parker filed for divorce on Wednesday from basketball star Tony Parker. The documents were filed in Los Angeles Superior Court just one day after the actress’ rep denied that Parker had done the same in a Texas court, which sparked a parade of rumors about the status of the marriage.
The cause of the split was at first hazy, as the couple dealt with infidelity rumors, with claims that Parker has been unfaithful. Now the explosive and complex story has unfolded and reveals a web of deceit. Apparently, Parker cheated on Eva with the wife of one his former San Antonio Spurs' teammates. Sources claim that Erin Barry, wife of NBA player Brent Barry, is the woman that Parker cheated with; the couples had reportedly enjoyed a close friendship.
Longoria Parker's friend Mario Lopez spoke about the matter and said that Longoria Parker found hundreds of texts that her basketball playing hubby sent the other woman and that Parker had cheated on her earlier in the marriage and even kept in touch with his mistress on Facebook afterwards. It's obvious Tony Parker does not want to be faithful or discreet about his dalliances, either. What a shame. Eva's a real stunner.
Longoria Parker -soon to be just "Longoria" again- took to Twitter to express her sadness about her split, Tweeting on Wednesday that "it is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other's happiness."
Lopez said that Longoria Parker is devastated by the betrayal but she remains strong. We are pulling for you Eva! Give Sandra Bullock a call. She knows your pain, too.
