LCD Soundsystem guru James Murphy has filed a lawsuit against producer Tim Goldsworthy, with whom he co-founded DFA Records.
Murphy and Goldsworthy launched DFA in 2001. Murphy says he is owed money and accuses his former partner of improperly using the company credit card and making dubious bank withdrawals.
Murphy is seeking punitive damages, the cost of his attorney fees and $93,899 for breach of contract and unjust enrichment.
The former LCD'er says he attempted to resolve the matter out of court, but was rebuffed on those advances.
Goldsworthy previously said that Murphy was not invested in the label, since he was too busy touring and in the studio.
