Happy Hump Day, ARTISTdirectioners. We've teamed up with KIT to premiere this acoustic video for "No Mercy."
KIT is Kit Walters. Not KITT, the car in Knight Rider, who we revere and worship. But we dig this KIT, too!
KIT told us, "The track is a deeply personal one for me. It came to me out of the blue one night. I wasn't trying to write a song. But it came nonetheless. I wrote, tracked, and cut the whole thing within one sitting. I'm sure it will mean different things to different people. But for me it completely encapsulates my world over the past few years."
KIT continued, "The good, the bad, the ups and the downs. It's a realization of who I am and who I'm not. My strengths and weaknesses, glory and shame. It's about making peace with all of that. Cuz where the rubber meets the road, all we truly have lies within the four walls through which we perceive our world. The greatest pleasure in life comes from doing what others say cannot be done. 'No Mercy 'is a track that pays homage to all the people who told me I would never be standing on the ground I am today."
Wow, that's pretty deep! It gives you a real sense of and insight into the track, which we adore.
Here's some more intel: Kit Walters is an NYC-based recording artist, songwriter and producer. He caught his break at the age of 18 as the dynamic front man for the progressive metal band Scapegoat, and soon after began producing and recording fellow Tragic Hero Records bands (Alesana, A Skylit Drive, Letlive). He also worked as a writer and producer on a variety of projects.
With that in mind, enjoy "No Mercy."
Did you dig KIT?
