ARTISTdirect has teamed up with Los Angeles-based act Right the Stars to stream and premiere the new album The Only Thing . RTS know Ben Affleck...sort of! Find out how the frontman worked with the new Batman and star of Gone Girl.

    But first, about the record.
The album is out tomorrow, October 14 [iTunes link], and is this is your chance to be on our VIP, advance listening guest list.

Frontman Rich Jacques said, "This album took a lot of different turns. It's actually been about three years in the making, and it took a while to come up with a collection of songs that really felt like an album. Strange how, over a seemingly short period of time, your tastes can shift. I'm happy with where this one landed, but had I been allowed another few months, it might be an entirely different record! There's no greater gift to give an artist than a deadline."

    #Truth.

Jacques actually spent years working with other artists and actors, including producing Kina Grannis' debut album Stairwells, coaching Ben Affleck on guitar for the movie Hollywoodland and working with Emma Stone to improve her bass skills for The Rocker.

So, yes, he is fucking cool as shit. So is his music.

Did you dig Right the Stars? Be sure to pick up the album on iTunes.
