Happy Monday, ARTISTdirectioners.
We have teamed up with Embracer to premiere their new EP, My Father's Will.
It comes out tomorrow, November 4, on Imminence Records. So this is the "try before you buy" period that we like to offer our readers!
About the EP, singer Jordan Bradley said, "To keep it simple but still bring into light the substance of My Father's Will, my opening statement is that this record is easily the most honest and raw rebuttal to answer the question, 'What is Embracer?'
"I understand that every situation is different, but the word 'father' is primarily used metaphorically. A father's will is for his children to succeed him. To be able to withstand the elements that comes against you throughout the course of life, and to lead a better life than he. Whoever your father figure was in life, without them you would not be the same.
"This record is very personal, yet at the same time all of the subject matter addressed can be subjective to the listener. I can't say that i know what you're going through, and that it's all going to get better because the ugly truth is it may not. In fact, it could become worse. What I can tell you is to endure. In life, sometimes we have to walk through hell to find closure. And with that being said, struggle changes us into who we need to be. Everything happens for a reason. Good, bad, and ugly. Just endure. Because that's all you can do.
"My Father's Will is a testament to personal enduring, and Embracer enduring together. Without a doubt if i did not have these extraordinary human beings to creatively and compassionately convey these messages through our music, my life would be without purpose. My purpose as a member of this collective is to show anyone who feels as low as i have, the cheaters, the liars, the honest, the kind, and the cruel that we have endured. That no matter what the struggle is, I am still here. I am alive, and that alone is enough purpose to keep pushing on. To endure with these wonderful souls beside me."
With that thorough and deep insight in mind, enjoy the EP. Add a little perspective to your listen, right?
