Evans Blue have partnered with ARTISTdirect.com to exclusively reveal the cover of the band's new album Graveyard of Empires. Check it out, as this is the only place where you can see this cover. It's a creepy, cool image, with a decaying cityscape in the background and an open coffin with a smoke-like ghost rising from it in the foreground. It's an effective visual representation of urban blight. At least that's our interpretation of this eyeball catching piece of art.
Graveyard of Empires lands on April 17, so this cover image should get you pumped for the album and its forthcoming bow. There are a lot of layers of meaning packed into this cover. Is this what happens and where you end up when an empire falls? Think about it, people! We love when album art makes us think. Remember, music has a visual component and is not just about the digital space!
The first single off the album is "This Time It's Different" and it rocks our faces off, too.
Seriously, we love how this cover reminds us of Tim Burton animated movies, too.
