Los Angeles alternative trio blows up a Stratocaster and rock 'n' roll in the process with new video.
Raw Fabrics have teamed up with us to unveil the music video for "Dead Instruments" from their forthcoming new EP, Plastic Joy, out August 18, 2015. It's the follow-up to 2014's potent and powerful debut Gold Handcuffs EP. The trio—Jack b. Franco [vocals, guitar], Jon Fredrik [drums], and Justus Dixon [bass, mpc/synth]— worked with Joe Chiccarelli [Morrissey, U2, The Strokes] to churn out groundbreaking alternative rock with the energy to flip the genre upside down the way Muse did with Absolution. A brooding bass tone bounces along with a stuttering clip, wily neo-soul vocals and a jagged guitar incision making for a deadly catchy anthem.
The music video sees the band doing what they do best—performing. In between, a Stratocaster explodes and psychedelic visuals entrance. About the video, Jack told us, "We like to make our videos as if we were playing a show in our own album-art inspired world. The song has a lot going on and can be taken many different ways, so with this video we wanted it to be bold and simple. What better way than having a huge sign with the song title on it."
