In order to celebrate Slipknot's Grammy nomination for "Best Metal Performance," we get to "know" the nine a little better…
Exclusive Slipknot Videos On ARTISTdirect
As part of ARTISTdirect.com's Grammy mini-site, Roadrunner Records has supplied us with three highly exclusive Slipknot videos. Metal's Grammy nominated nine-headed hydra remains the most visceral and vicious band in the world, and these exclusive videos only further uphold that status. However, the clips do show the band's sick sense of humor as well. ARTISTdirect.com gets closer to the nine horsemen of the apocalypse than ever in these clips. In the first clip, enigmatic frontman Corey Taylor orders fans to attend Slipknot's All Hope Is Gone tour with Trivium and Coheed & Cambria. After a few barks, it's hard not to obey to him, especially while he's flanked by other menacing members of Slipknot. In the second video, Slipknot announce their first show at the legendary Madison Square Garden. Most bands aren't the same after playing Madison Square Garden, however, in this case, Madison Square Garden will probably never be the same. In fact, it may not even be there anymore after Slipknot roll through! The final video is definitely the best. It's an exclusive Christmas video, like only Slipknot could make. Corey Taylor incinerates Santa Claus, while bassist/songwriter Paul Gray sings, "Oh, Christmas Tree." What's creepier than that?
Let's hope Slipknot win the Grammy for "Best Metal Performance," or else we all may be in trouble!
