Exclusive Song Premiere: Dan Godlin, "Together Now" - Listen to it here!

ARTISTdirect has teamed up with New York City-based singer/songwriter Dan Godlin to premiere his song "Together Now," available December 10. He is also releasing a new EP in 2014, the title of which is TBA.

If you dig Ed Sheeran or John Mayer, you will dig "Together Now."

"Thankfully, 'Together Now' was one of those songs that pretty much wrote itself," Godlin told ARTISTdirect about the bright, sunny song. "It doesn't happen often, but every once in a while, there is this special synergy among the lyrics, rhythm, phrasing and melody that comes out of nowhere, and it just fits."

He continued, "I'm sure I speak for most songwriters when I say those are the absolute best ones. I was enjoying an early morning spring day on the balcony of my New York City apartment, and I started strumming a few chords to an 'Americana rhythm' inspired by the indie/pop style of artists like The Lumineers and Phillip Phillips."

Godlin furthered, "It made me think of this concept that life and love can be so simple if we allow it to be. And in comparison, it can be tough and a struggle if that's how we look at it. 'Together Now' is an honest take on what I believe is the key to a successful relationship -- 'A little you, a little me.' It's about compromise, understanding, taking risks, being there for one another and making the good years last."

With that in mind, listen to the song and enjoy it. We did!

Godlin has previously released Loving On Empty, a full-length, and In Between, an EP.
