The "Revolution" may not be televised, but it will "Rise" and it will hit you ears, thanks to Kill Devil Hill.
ARTISTdirect is beyond stoked to premiere "Endless Static," an urgent, driving track from Revolution Rise, the brand new album by metal masters Kill Devil Hill, featuring former Pantera bassist Rex Brown and onetime Dio/Black Sabbath/Heaven and Hell drummer Vinnie Appice in their ranks.
That's quite a rhythm section, right?
The band also boasts ex-Pissing Razors vocalist Dewey Bragg and session/touring guitarist Mark Zavon. With those beyond impressive resumes and pedigrees, Kill Devil Hill take a classic hard rock sound and give it a fresh, unique spin on Revolution Rise, their sophomore platter. That style is wholly evident on "Endless Static."
About the song, Brown said, "We wrote this song at the very end. Mark had this little ditty he had planned, I changed a few notes, and it was more experimental, wondering if it would work... then it got that undeniable catchy chorus that fit exactly where we needed it. It's an uplifting kind of song. 'Wraith Out Roud' was the original title."
Now that you've been briefed with that insight from Brown, why not rock out to the song?
All songs on the album are being premiered at different locations leading up to its release.
Listen to the previously premiered tracks here. We think "Endless Static" is one of the very best tracks on the album.
Revolution Rise is out Tuesday, October 29. Pre-order it here.
How much did you love "Endless Static?"
