ARTISTdirect has teamed up with Swedish rockers Bourbon Boys to premiere their new video for "Don't Tread on Me" from Hail to the Chief, out October 18.
About the song, lead singer and guitarist Hulkoff, who is a farmer and did his time as a soldier in the Swedish army, told ARTISTdirect, "I am very proud to be able to present the first cut from the upcoming Bourbon Boys' album Hail to the Chief. 'Don't Tread on Me' is a true country rock anthem that represents the spirit of the pissed off underdog, and I am convinced that it'll blow many a loudspeaker in tractors, pickup-trucks, custom cars and honky-tonks."
That's what we like to hear! We are ALL about underdogs.
He furthered, "'Don't Tread on Me' is an anthem for the working man. Musically, it's somewhere between The Rolling Stones and Merle Haggard, and lyrically, it deals with the rebel spirit of those of us who oppose the absolute power of federal governments. It's the sound of true freedom. It's country and rock 'n' roll. Rock on brothers and sisters!"
