New York City duo Exitmusic –comprised of Aleksa Palladino and Devon Church— will be hitting the road this Fall, opening for Phantogram and several others along the way. The duo which will be touring behind their first EP From Silence, which is set for release on Oct. 4 via Secretly Canadian-- have also released a new album track entitled "The Modern Age." Check it out here. It's gloomy, doomy and beautifully dark.
Live, the chilling twosome are hypnotic—driven by bass-heavy beats and sustained by Aleksa's spine-tingling voice and hauntingly beautiful melodies. Palladino and Church both play shimmering guitar riffs that sway to create a unique balance between darkness and light, while a live drummer and laptop conductor keep the songs growing bigger and bolder before slowly dying down.
Exitmusic have created an EP that is eerie yet romantic, rhythmic yet mournful, and chilling yet peaceful.
