Faith Evans says the posthumous collaborative album with her late husband, the Notorious B.I.G., should be coming in September. When Evans first mentioned the album, titled The King & I, in 2014, she compared it to the posthumous duets album between Natalie Cole and Nat King Cole, Unforgettable. In an interview for the Dame Dash Radio Show (the interview begins at the 23:20 mark) yesterday, Evans said recording is in its "finishing stages," and to expect an early September release and a single out in time for summer.

Evans also revealed tentative plans to incorporate a B.I.G. hologram in her upcoming live show. When the interviewer asked the singer how the duets will be performed, she responded, "we actually are in development with a hologram, but I don't necessarily know to what extent I'm gonna perform with it. But I want to debut it in the first video for the album, and maybe use it a little bit performing live. But that depends on a lot of things." She said, "If this Bad Boy tour ever really happens, that might be something we consider, and if I was to go out on that tour, of course, I'd use it but just not over use it."

The first posthumous B.I.G. album, Life After Death, was released in 1997, the year Biggie Smalls died. Since then, there've been two other posthumous B.I.G. albums; 1999's Born Again and 2005's Duets: The Final Chapter, which included previously unreleased B.I.G. verses remixed into duets. Faith Evans was among the cast of artists featured on Duets. Evans also noted on the Show that she's "not trying to do re-do what Puff has already done and have a gang of features, just the right ones that make sense but there's other creative ways I can intertwine people that knew him and actually have stories to tell about him."

Evans also said she's working on autobiographical stage play that focuses on her relationship with B.I.G. (You can listen to the entire interview, beginning at the 23:20 mark.)
