Fall Out Boy finally put an end to years of rumors and speculation, with the official announcement of their new single, "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)," which you can grab at iTunes. They just denied they were reuniting on Twitter like a week ago! They lied, but then again, they wanted to make a splash when they returned to the scene, so we can't blame 'em.

FOB commemorated the occasion at the site of the original Comiskey Park, the location of Disco Demolition Night in 1979, as they were burning albums.

"My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)" is the first single from Fall Out Boy's new album, Save Rock and Roll, out May 7.

The band's statement on their "comeback" is as follows: "When we were kids the only thing that got us through most days was music. It's why we started Fall Out Boy in the first place. This isn't a reunion because we never broke up. We needed to plug back in and make some music that matters to us. The future of Fall Out Boy starts now. Save Rock and Roll."

Save Rock and Roll is the band's fifth album and first since 2008.
