There's a flurry of activity in the Fanfarlo camp. The band will release their new EP, Fire Escape on July 13 via all digital platforms. The EP's title track is featured on the London-based pop group's acclaimed 2009 debut album, Reservoir. The EP will also include exclusive new remixes of the single by British folk-rockers, TV On The Radio's Dave Sitek, The Horrors, Toro Y Moi, and Tom Elmhirst (Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson, Hot Chip). Additionally, a companion video clip for "Fire Escape," directed by Jamie Thraves (Radiohead, Death Cab for Cutie, Coldplay), will premiere on a wide range of music blogs as well as Fanfarlo's own www.fanfarlo.com in early June. It's a nice, neat little collection of odds and sods for diehard Fanfarlo fans to nibble at. Or feast upon if they're feeling gluttonous.
The band's song "Atlas" will also appear on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, which is out June 8. That's certainly a plum soundtrack to be on, if you want 14-year-old Edward Cullen'ites to like your music. Fanfarlo will return to the US with a performance at the upcoming Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee on June 10. The acclaimed collective will then spend much of their summer playing festivals around the globe, including the UK's annual Glastonbury Festival on June 25, London's Serpentine Sessions on July 1, Australia's Splendour in the Grass on August 1 and Summer Sonic in Japan August 8-10th.
