Fangoria Weekend of Horrors Descends Upon Los Angeles
The Fangoria Weekend of Horrors will descend upon Los Angeles for its 24th year. The fest will run from April 17 through April 19, offering up the gory best of terror talent in the music, film and TV realms. The fright-filled, but oh-so-fun fest will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Figueroa. A-list celebrity attendees will include director Sam Raimi, the legendary Clive Barker and Tobe Hooper, among a host of other horror fiends.Additional participants will be a host of horror film legends, among them Ron Pearlman, Doug Bradley of Hellraiser fame, Thomas Jane of The Punisher and Bill Moseley. The weekend will include panels, independent horror premieres and an extreme fashion show. Even OhGr of Skinny Puppy will be on hand to enjoy the festivities. Additionally, the likes of Adrienne King from Friday the 13th will be on site, among many other hordes of cult figures from the genre! This is truly a must-attend event for horror buffs.
Special effects and makeup people will also attend the fest. On Saturday April 18, at 9 AM, there will be a Zombie Walker contest, in attempt to break the world record for zombie walkers! Fans can gather at the convention center to practice moaning and groaning and have zombie makeup applied. They will then walk the red blood route at 9:30 in hopes of breaking the record.
