So how do you follow-up a mega hit on the level of "Like a G6"?
If you're Far East Movement, you kick everything up a notch or ten and write an infectious, irresistible, and incendiary anthem like "Live My Life". The group's brand new single features an unforgettable and undeniable hook courtesy of Justin Bieber as well as airtight propulsive production from RedOne. Even with the ultra-catchy Bieber refrain and RedOne's studio wizardry, "Live My Life" is decidedly a Far East Movement banger, and that's what makes it so utterly delightful.
Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Spliff, and DJ Virman build upon the hallmarks of their sound, while expanding into club territory seamlessly. They each get to shine within the space of the song dropping some great lines in the process—"Girl, move it like Pilates put your head where your knee at" and "All we need to start it is some speakers and my g-chat" stick out.
"Live My Life" is the ultimate 21st century dance floor anthem, coupling Far East Movement's clever rhyming with Bieber's stadium-size vocals and RedOne's sexy, slick sonic backdrop. It's the kind of invigorating jam you'll hear everywhere from night clubs to pool parties to the gym, and it deserves to be heard all of those places because it's so catchy.
They're flying even higher than a G6 with "Live My Life" and you will too once you hear it.
Will you be getting the song on iTunes on February 28? What's your favorite Far East Movement jam?
