There are a few records on the horizon in 2013 that we're sure are going to completely change the game.
New music is always exciting prospect, and we bring you the records we think will totally blow you away in 2013.
Next up is…
Philip Anselmo — Walk Through Exits Only
Philip Anselmo has a one of a kind ability to take unbridled musical violence and transmute it into something insurmountably catchy.
Anselmo recently revealed his first two solo cuts "Conflict" and "Family, Friends, and Associates" on the War of the Gargantuas split with Warbeast. The tracks brandished hardcore street level intensity along with palpable metallic groove. Once again, Anselmo can't be pinned to one genre or style, and the solo material stands out in his catalog.
Of course, it's driven by his immortal voice and charisma, but it doesn't sound like Pantera, Down, Superjoint Ritual, or any of his other projects. Once again, Walk Through Exits Only stands poised to rise up as its own kind of animal. Get ready to be blown away and for metal to change yet again…
