Feature: My Experience on "AXSLive"
Tue, 22 Jan 2013 12:08:51
AXSLive is just what the doctor ordered for the music industry.
On AXS TV, the one-hour live show puts the spotlight back where it belongs, precisely on the music. So much TV doesn't focus on music anymore, but this show makes a bold and brilliant move by giving fans what they actually want with a refreshing twist.
Featuring a rotating host and "soundboard", three industry panelists, AXSLive runs through a myriad of hot button topics from Beyoncé performing at the presidential inauguration to Rihanna's Instagram account at a rapid fire pace with a sharp sense of humor. It's intelligent, irreverent, and inimitable. There's a magic to the show characteristic of the best live fare, and you'll have a blast watching it.
After the show's talent producer Fernita Wynn invited me, I had a blast being on it. In fact, it was like a dream come true to be asked to appear on a music-centric prime time show that allowed me to actually espouse real opinions in a fun setting. I was joined by comedian Jon Huck and Dancing With the Stars' Kym Johnson as well as host Jason Mewes, and you've got to see it.
AXSLive is broadcast from downtown Los Angeles. It's live nationally Monday through Wednesday 7pm-8pm PT and Thursday 8pm-9pm PT. Viewers can check their cable listing for AXS TV.
Be on the lookout for killer live shows from AXS TV too. With their concerts and broadcasts, they're placing front and center, and there's nothing like it out there right now.
