Some artists create worlds for listeners to fall into. It's those artists that ultimately advance rock music as a genre. They're the ones who not only change the game, but change listeners. In a long tradition of boundary-busting and groundbreaking rock acts like The Cure and Marilyn Manson, the 21st century gets September Mourning.
It starts with the music though. September Mourning's latest song "Superhuman" more than lives up to its title. Industrial synths pulsate alongside a devilishly danceable beat before Miss September Mourning delivers a heavenly and hypnotic refrain that's as entrancing as it is engaging. Ethereal guitars cycle under the production as her voice reaches heavenly heights singing, "We are superhuman".
Beyond the music, September Mourning recently kicked off a comic book crowdfunding campaign at the Top Cow panel during San Diego's Comic-Con. In celebration of the launch, they unveiled "Superhuman".
You can and should back the campaign here!
September Mourning joined forces with graphic novel icon Top Cow Comics' Marc Silvestri [Wolverine, Cyberforce]. Currently, Howard Benson is producing the album for a Fall 2014 release via Virgin, and in tandem, they'll unveil the comic book series co-written and illustrated by Silvestri. You can help bring it to life via the campaign here! The rewards are sick. Most importantly, you get to be part of the creation of a world...
September Mourning's story is just starting to unravel. It's going to be legendary though. We promise you that. It's high time we welcomed and supported an artist this deep and visionary.
