Federal Judge to Decide Watchmen's Fate

The fate of Watchmen rests in the hands of a federal judge, as Warner Bros. and Fox have decided to skip a jury trial in their battle over which studio has the distribution rights to the hotly anticipated comic book film, which is due in theaters on March 6.
The studio titans have agreed with US District Court Judge Gary Feess to let a federal judge decide the case and the fate of the film on January 20. Feess ruled that Fox owns the distribution rights to the film and told the studios to either settle or head to trial. Warner Bros. has not backed down from its position that it has distribution rights and has remained steadfast on the release date. Looks like the matter will be solved within the next month or so.
