Final Harry Potter Film to be Released in July 2011

Warner Bros. has announced the release date of the final film in the Harry Potter franchise. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part II is the eighth film in the franchise and it will hit theaters on July 15, 2011. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part I is scheduled for release on November 19, 2010. The studio split the seventh and final book in J.K. Rowling's series into two separate films since the work is so long.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the studio's summer cornerstone and will be released on July 17. It was originally scheduled for release in November 2008 but was bumped.

Warner Bros. also announced that Sherlock Holmes, starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law has been bumped from November 1 to December 25.
