    Once again, our mouths are agape and leaking drool.

    The Village Voice's fifth annual tasting event, "Choice Eats," has announced the final participating restaurants, bringing the official total number of confirmed restaurants to a record-breaking 83! Final restaurants just added include: Bowery Diner, Calyer, David's Brisket House, Egg, El Almacen, Grandaisy Bakery, Kutsher's Tribeca, and Resto.

    The Village Voice is also thrilled to announce that Choice Eats 2012 will feature DJ sets by Andy Rourke of The Smiths, the legendary alt-rock band that materialized from the British independent music scene in the 1980s. Throughout the band's rise to international fame, Rourke's playing style was unmistakable on each album, adding a distinct tone that spoke to the millions that band's music reached. Since The Smiths parted ways in 1987, Andy Rourke has played and recorded with some of music's greatest performers such as Sinéad O'Connor, Morrissey, The Pretenders, and Badly Drawn Boy. These days, Rourke calls New York City his home and spends his time DJing on East Village Radio and at various nightclubs around the city.

    This year's Choice Eats will also feature guest chef-celebrity, Ty-lor Boring, of Bravo's hit show, Top Chef Texas. Ty-lor will host a demo for all VIP ticket-holders during the VIP hour from 5:30 - 6:30 PM. "Choice Eats" will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 from 6:30 - 9:30 PM at the 69th Armory on Lexington Avenue in New York City. All VIP tickets for Choice Eats have sold out and a limited number of General Admission tickets are still available.

    The Village Voice has also announced its first annual "Choice Streets" Food Truck tasting event on Tuesday, April 24 from 7:00 - 10:00 PM, featuring over 25 of some of the city's favorite and highly sought-after food trucks. Set amid the backdrop of the New York Landmark - The Intrepid - attendees will feast onboard Pier 86 and enjoy an evening of fabulous food, drinks and an amazing view of New York City. Tickets for "Choice Streets" go on sale on March 7.
