Finger Eleven Videos
Canadian rockers Finger Eleven let us (and you) in on the making of their new video for "Living in a Dream" from Life Turns Electric. The band and director take us behind the camera, behind the lyrics and behind the song in this incredibly entertaining and exclusive clip which you can view here at ARTISTdirect.com.
This "making of" clip demonstrates the band performing in all sorts of speeds, playing on a sound stage and interacting with the hot models in the video and by "interacting" I mean that you can watch (ad wince) as the band members get cracked in the face with beer bottles, which shatter. It's an interestingly painful effect. I find myself watching the "That had to hurt part" over and over and over again, thinking, "That had to leave a scar." It's no special effect; the hot chicks literally walk up to the band members and smash bottles on their faces. I keep wondering what type of camera trickery occurred here.
This is a true "making of" because you are allowed a peak into the special effects in the video and the director shows some of the steps and how certain parts were constructed. If you are interested in the technical aspect of music video making or if just want to see a band you like put together a video, then this clip should totally make your day, either way.
What did you think of the beer bottle smashing part?
