The partnership between The Flaming Lips and Warner Bros. continues! The band has re-signed to the label for another decade. Next up, in addition to plans to release a song every month in 2011, WBR will reissue their first five Lips releases under their label banner on vinyl as Heady Nuggs: The First 5 Warner Bros. Records 1992-2002. The band hopes to have Heady Nuggs ready for Record Store Day, which is on April 16 this year.

The Lips also have an elaborate, complicated re-release planned for their infamous 1997 album Zaireeka, which was intended to be played on 4 CD players simultaneously. The new version will be intended for multiple mobile phones. "We're trying to get together as many people with phones to cram into a bathroom and play it," said frontman Wayne Coyne. The new digital Zaireeka could be out by the end of January.

What do you think of the digital upgrade of the Zaireeka concept?
