Bob Welch, one-time guitarist of Fleetwood Mac, was found dead in his Nashville home on Thursday, June 7. He was just 66. Initial police reports indicate that it was a suicide. A local news station reported that Welch's wife found him dead, from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest. She found him just after noon local time.

NME.com reports that a suicide note was found on site and Welch had been suffering from health issues. Those were not yet clear.

Welch was a member of the Mac from 1971 through 1974. He played on five albums. When he split, he was replaced by Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. The rest is history.

    R.I.P., Bob Welch.
