Rapper Flo Rida must pay a former assistant's fees in the legal battle in which they are locked after a judge discovered he had was deceptive with court officials when saying he didn't receive the documents of the suit in a timely fashion. Ut oh.

The former assistant, named Mahogany Miller, sued Flo, claiming she was fired from her gig as his administrative assistant less than a day after complaining about her hours and pay. So she says he let her go because she bitched and moaned about her schedule and her wages.

The rapper's attorney says that Miller was never "officially hired" and worked as an unpaid volunteer who only received expenses. That makes it sound like she was an intern, not an assistant. He said, she said.

But as for that whole deception and misleading claim? Flo said that he was delinquent in replying to her suit after legal papers were served to the wrong person at the wrong address. He later retracted the statement and said that they were sent to the right person at the right place. Oops.

The judge called that action "premeditated deception" and as a result, ordered Flo to pay $7,000 towards Miller's legal fees. That's definitely a lesson learned. Do NOT lie to court officials about legal matters. Tsk tsk.

Despite this financial victory for Miller, the case remains ongoing.

    Team Flo or Team Mahogany?
