    • Flyleaf - Through the first verse of "In The Dark," Lacey softly stepped around the stage with what seemed like the shyness of a small child. That shyness soon erupted into a raw emotional energy that captivated the audience for the rest of the evening. There are some performers that just hop onstage, sing, dance, whatever, and hop back offstage. Lacey is definitely not one of them. She doesn't just sing songs, she feels them – and the audience could tell as they sang and swayed right along with her. But it wasn’t just her; each band member was able to connect with the audience. While Sameer and Jared grooved to their melodies, Pat furiously pounded the bass and jumped on speakers. James even pointed his sticks out toward the crowd while drumming. It was amazing to see a band with such an enormous presence play a venue with such an intimate setting.—Lilly Ryden

    One of hard rock's most powerful, potent, and poetic outfits, Flyleaf, will host a benefit concert for their soundman Rich Caldwell on May 20, 2012 at The Palladium Ballroom in Dallas, TX. [Get tickets here!]

    Caldwell was involved in a tragic car accident in College Station, TX. The band knew they had to not only celebrate his life but help support Caldwell's surviving family—his wife Katy and their two-year-old son Kirby. As a result, all of the proceeds from the show will directly benefit Katy and Kirby, aiding them after this loss in their time of need.

    Flyleaf continually gives back whenever they can. Their music is source of strength for countless fans worldwide, and they're one of the few bands out there who can inspire with a single note or a lyric. That's why their self-titled debut and its follow-up Memento Mori are so utterly transcendent. It's also why their forthcoming new album, due out later this year, will be another classic…
