    During the Foo Fighters' set at Global Citizen Festival in New York's Central Park on Saturday, September 30, frontman Dave Grohl told the 60,000 people in the crowd ,"Without making a big deal out of it, we don't have any shows after this. This is it, man. Honestly I don't know when we're gonna do it again…and this is the perfect place to do it."

    So it sounds like the hiatus is imminent and in effect. But that doesn't have to mean breaking up. A hiatus is a hiatus is a hiatus. After the media ran with the story, Grohl was quick to clarify that the hiatus does not mean a break up.
