Foreigner are teaming up with the GRAMMY Foundation for an initiative aimed for musical high schoolers.

At every city the band plays in during its summer tour with Journey, a high school choir will join the classic rock band on stage to sing "I Want to Know What Love Is" with them. Each choir will be chosen through local contests.

In addition to the dream scenario of performing on stage with legends like Foreigner, the winning schools will receive $1000 grants from the Grammy foundation!

How's that for keeping music education and programs in schools?

The tour kicks off on July 21st in Salt Lake City.

Go here for more info on how to compete.

What other ways can musicians work to keep music education programs and things like choirs active in schools?
