    Youth division never took off

    Fox Shutters Atomic Label

Fox is shuttering its struggling Fox Atomic label, which was spawned in 2007 and targeted the youth market with comedic and somewhat genre-specific films. Atomic's upcoming releases include youth-friendly fare such as I Love You, Beth Cooper, Jennifer's Body, and Post-Grad.

The company set out to reach the teen audience through edgy comedic films, but the banner never took off, with films like The Rocker and 12 Rounds missing their mark in terms of box office receipts. The company's status became questionable after its co-founders moved to other roles within the Fox conglomerate.
