Frank Miller and Odd Lot Entertainment
are looking to team up again. The comic book titan and the production company, who paired up for last week's
visual stunner The Spirit,
are working on securing the rights to Buck Rogers, the famed, iconic sci-fi character, for Nu Image/Millennium,
which grabbed the rights earlier this year from the Dille Trust. The Dille Trust is run by Miller pal John Flint Dille, which
may help hasten the rights transfer. Once the negotiations go through, Nu Image will receive a credit on the finished film, but
won't be involved in the day-to-day production or promotion.
Miller will write and direct this feature film version of Buck Rogers and it is expected to include all of the comic book author-turned-filmmaker's signature visual touches. The Buck Rogers story began as a serial comic in the 1920s that dealt with space exploration. The character has resonated with pop culture audiences for years, and there have been several films and television series based on the character throughout the past few decades.
