Frank Ocean hasn't appeared on the live concert circuit since the summer of 2014. However, the singer has just announced that he will perform at two European festivals in the summer of 2017. On June 9th he will appear at NorthSide Festival in Denmark, and at London's Lovebox Festival on July 14th. These are the first confirmed shows since Ocean released his album Blonde in the summer.
Ocean has already hinted that he was planning on touring, so fans can expect further dates to be added around those summer festival appearances. In a New York Times interview, the first time the singer spoke with a major publication in about three years, he said: "I need to know how many records I've sold, how many album equivalents from streaming, which territories are playing my music more than others, because it helps me in conversations about where we're gonna be playing shows, or where I might open a retail location, like a pop-up store or something," Ocean said. The European Ocean Hive is strong apparently.
Ocean ended his four year hiatus in August when he released a visual album, Endless, before his full length Blonde album which went to the Number One position on the Billboard albums chart. Demand for tickets at any of the live shows on Ocean's schedule are sure to be in hot demand, and anticipation for further dates to be announced is sure to be keenly felt by fans around the globe.
