Free Download of the Week: Brent James and The Vintage Youth, "Sorry" -

Get an early taste of the debut album with this download of solid blue-collar rock.

Today's Free Download of the week comes courtesy of Brent James and the Vintage Youth.

It's from their album, which is as-yet untitled, out August 4. So this is a seriously advance taste and it's a free one at that! Can't be it, can you?

"This record is drenched in roads traveled, loves had and time spent," Brent James said. So it's a lot like that thing we know called life. He continued, "I couldn't be more proud of this group of songs. Spread the word and enjoy the free copy of 'Sorry.'"

    Yes, sir, Mr. James.

So who is Brent James? Well, he has been through music business boot camp. Vans, trailers and s***ty hotel rooms have helped to mold his sound. Brent James knew what he wanted from an early age. He began singing with his mother in the front seat of their car and around the house while his father worked as an autoworker in Saginaw, Michigan.

James had a good grasp on where he came from, always embracing his blue-collar roots.

He began writing songs at the age of 9, while mowing lawns and doing chores for the family, all while telling his parents he would "become a singer one day." After a move to Cincinnati a few years back, Brent was introduced to his new band, fittingly named The Vintage Youth. Their musical brotherhood both on and off the stage was immediate.

They've already shared the stage and/or toured with The Cadillac Three, Eric Church, Daughtry, Huey Lewis, Foreigner, Candlebox, American Aquarium, Buckcherry, Walk Off the Earth, Robin Trower and more.

We're sorry, not sorry to share this song. Free music is good. Free, good music is better.
